Alice Tilton
Senior Program Manager
alice@bostonfoodforest.org
Alice’s role at BFFC is to oversee stewardship, programming, and site care for food forests. In addition to working with stewards and supervising the program staff team, Alice also sets long-term program strategies and measures our impact on the Boston community.
Alice has been involved in multiple community organizing and climate activism projects since moving to Boston in 2016, focused on her home neighborhood of Dorchester. Professionally, her career in adult education has spanned a variety of settings and life stages, from teaching young adults to managing programming for a residential memory support community. Most recently, Alice managed a job training program for individuals whose working lives had been interrupted by challenging life circumstances. While earning her Master of Public Health, Alice learned about the social determinants of health from a range of academic perspectives, and she is excited about the many ways food forests improve community health.
Outside of work hours, Alice loves gardening in her pocket-sized yard and foraging in the Blue Hills and beyond. She also enjoys cooking and quilting.
