Join the Egleston Community Orchard for an educational workshop on native shrubs! Shrubs include a wide variety of the plants that make up our food forests, including currants, serviceberries, elderberries, and more. Learn how to identify the different shrubs at ECO, what their benefits are, and how to use them.
This workshop will be taught by Ryleigh Rivers. Ryleigh is a local perennial gardener and fruit tree enthusiast with experience in both urban spaces and orchard settings, focused on using holistic and low-impact interventions to promote the health of fruiting perennials. Ryleigh strongly believes that fruiting perennials belong in our neighborhoods and that with the right care, these trees can offer sweetness and sustenance in the city!
No registration needed. Email cassidy@bostonfoodforest.org with any questions about the event.
