Director of Development

Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 + benefits package
Hours: Full Time
Location: Boston, MA (Mix of in-person & virtual/remote)

The Director of Development is a full time position that serves as a key leader of Boston Food Forest Coalition (BFFC). This position is directly responsible for developing and executing BFFC’s annual fundraising plan, securing financial support from new and existing individuals, and serving as an external spokesperson for the coalition. The ideal candidate has experience growing individual giving programs and donor bases, expertise in supporting the building of internal systems, and is interested in building a climate-resilient, equitable future for Boston through community-owned edible parks.

Community Engagement Manager

Compensation: $70,800 + benefits package
Hours: Full Time
Location: Boston, MA (Mix of in-person & virtual/remote)

The Community Engagement Manager is a full time position that serves as a key leader of Boston Food Forest Coalition (BFFC). The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for all new food forest pipeline development. The Manager will help build community relationships across Boston to support neighbors in organizing, designing, and building food forest public parks, thus increasing equitable access to healthy open space across the city. The Manager will also support the Engagement & Construction Director to manage successful building of new food forests, from creating new food forest stewardship teams, to measurement and knowledge building, to strategy and systems development.

Food Forest Maintenance Coordinator

Compensation: $60,700 + benefits package
Hours: Full Time
Location: Boston, MA (Mostly in-person with some remote work)

The Food Forest Maintenance Coordinator is a full-time position directly responsible for maintaining a variety of edible and ecological landscapes in the Boston area. The Coordinator will establish and implement the infrastructure needed to maintain food forests across the city, and support volunteer stewards to manage the landscape of each food forest. This person must be an enthusiastic advocate to neighbors about ecological and edible landscaping techniques, and be passionate about building resilience in Boston through more equitable access to healthy green space.
