Alexandra Hill
Program Intern
alexandra@bostonfoodforest.org
As a Program Intern, Alexandra supports BFFC’s programming and community engagement. She brings a background in technical environmental engineering, a philosophical approach to community ethics, and conversational Spanish skills to help coordinate community initiatives across Boston’s food forests.
Alexandra was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was raised in southern New Hampshire by “extremely hippie” parents. She grew up gardening, climbing trees, and ponding in the great outdoors, and has a close connection with nature.
She is currently a student at Northeastern University, double-majoring in Environmental Engineering and Philosophy. Every summer, Alexandra teaches engineering courses at her local summer camp, promoting sustainable innovation and eliminating access barriers to STEM education for children. Previously, she enjoyed developing coding and UX skills as a member of her high school’s robotics team.
Outside of work, Alexandra is a dedicated outdoor enthusiast, frequently hiking, climbing, kayaking, or skiing with Northeastern University's Hu-ski-ers and Outings Club (NUHOC) as the Activism & Accessibility Chair. In her free time, you can find her lead climbing or practicing her language skills, as she hopes to reach full proficiency in Spanish, German, and Russian.
