Senior Food Forest & Green Infrastructure Construction Manager

Hours: Full-time

Location: Boston, MA (mostly in person, with some remote work)

Compensation: $96,500 annually, with benefits included

This is a high-impact, full-time role responsible for transforming underutilized land into thriving food forests, directly contributing to our goal of building 30 food forests by 2030. The manager oversees the end-to-end construction and design support of 5-10 new food forests, ensuring they are completed on time, on scope, and within budget. Responsibilities include managing contractors, building partnerships with suppliers, managing infrastructure construction, and meticulously handling project documentation. The annual salary is $96,500 and requires 4-5 days in person in Boston a week. 

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of related experience in landscape construction management or park building, with strong project management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. They should be a fast-paced, self-driven leader with the ability to read and execute on construction plans, manage a detail-intensive process, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Coalition Program Intern

Hours: Tuesday 9 am-5:30 pm; Wednesday, Thursday 11 am-7:30 pm; Friday, Saturday 9 am-5:30 pm (8-hour shift with meal breaks). Schedule subject to change

Location: Boston, MA, a mix of in-person and virtual/remote. Approximately 60% in-person, 40% remote.

Compensation: $20/hour (up to 40 hours/week)

This Coalition Program internship offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in neighborhood organizing, data hygiene, and team collaboration – all while supporting our vital mission of transforming vacant lots into public edible parks placed into permanent community control and ownership. 

Imagine: more neighbors will hear about our food forests, more people will flock to our events, and even better, they'll keep coming back! The Program Intern will support the BFFC program by assisting with stewardship and volunteer recruitment, food forest maintenance, and administrative tasks. This part-time position involves both in-person work at various sites across Boston and remote work.
