Ride for Food
BFFC is proud to partner with Three Squares New England (TSNE), a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funds for hunger relief, for their annual Ride for Food event. This year, 2025, is special — it’s BFFC’s first time participating! Our goal is to raise $10,000 by November 30th to strengthen Boston’s resilience by expanding equitable access to healthy green spaces and deepening our connections with each other and the natural world.
How it Works
Each year, TSNE hosts Ride for Food, a one-day event featuring:
🚴♀️ Bike rides of 25, 50, or 62.2 miles
🚶A 5K walk (3.1 miles)
Whether you choose to ride or walk, you’ll be doing so on behalf of your chosen nonprofit organization. Walkers of all ages are welcome, but riders must be at least 14 years old.
📌 Registration: $85 per participant (does not count toward your fundraising total).
📌 Fundraising Minimum: $350 per participant, due by November 30.
Why Ride (Or Walk) With BFFC
By joining Team BFFC, every dollar you raise will directly support:
🌳 The care and maintenance of our 13 food forest parks
🌱 The ongoing process of building new food forests toward our vision of 30 thriving parks by 2030
🎉 Community events & workshops (like fruit tree pruning, herbalism, and more).
